Sport, Health & Nutrition

At Teddington School, we are committed to fostering a positive, inclusive and holistic experience for every student. The PE department aims to empower students to be healthy learners who see value in leading healthy, active lives; an appreciation for physical movement; the technical language that accompanies it; and developing essential life skills, from Year 7 up until Year 13. Our PE curriculum provides a comprehensive range of sporting activities, encompassing team games, individual pursuits, and outdoor adventures.

The primary goal is to offer students the opportunity to explore various activities, discover their interests and equip them for potential examinations-based PE beyond Key Stage 3. Additionally, in a bid to develop healthy learners, all KS3 students will engage in a comprehensive exploration of health and nutrition. This initiative aims to foster an understanding of the vital connection between nutrition and overall-wellbeing. Students will encounter this content through classroom-based learning and practical initiatives.

Acknowledging the diverse interests and preferences of our students, we have designed two distinct pathways within our curriculum.
